We are delighted to announce that Gozo Deli Basil Pesto Casheese won the Innovation Award at the FreeFrom Food Awards. We competed against impressive new products such as gluten free crackers, dairy free chocolate frozen dessert and gluten free scone mix (check out the shortlist here). Needless to say, we are thrilled and extremely proud of the award.

The FreeFrom Food Awards began in 2008 to 'encourage innovation and celebrate excellence in the free-from food industry'. Our Casheese is the first of its kind in the UK, introducing a new vegan cheese that is organic, completely natural and free from soya and gluten. 

We were overwhelmed with the positive comments from the team of professional judges about our Basil Pesto Casheese:

'Tangy, beautifully light, smooth and lovely garlic notes. Wonderful to see a dairy-free cheese with no soya and with such a fresh ingredient list.'

'Very more-ish – wish I wasn't just tasting – could eat the lot!' 

'Great product – gluten, dairy and soya free! Good as a sauce or a spread. Very useful and excellent ingredients.'

We had great fun at the awards ceremony and are now proud holders of the FreeFrom Innovation Award. Gozo Casheese was also runner-up in the overall FAIR prize. Congratulations all round!
